Companion Card

The Taste of Summer accepts one companion per ticket holder on presentation of a Companion Card.

Please email our ticketing provider at info@oztix.com.au for more information or to pre organise your companion card ticket.

INFORMATION Desk

The Taste of Summer Information Desk will be located at the entrance of the PW1 building. If you need assistance or have any questions or concerns, please visit the Information Desk and we will be happy to assist.

Accessible Toilets

There are 4 accessible toilets available at the Taste of Summer: 

  • 2 are located at the front of the PW1 shed (near the Information Desk) 

  • 1 is located at the back of the PW1 shed 

  • 1 is located at the silo end of the Salamanca Lawns 

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

The event site is fully wheelchair accessible. All areas of the site are accessible by structured walkways or ramps. Guests using a motorised wheelchair or mobility scooter can find power outlets at the event site if emergency charging is needed. These power outlets are limited and we ask that guests please remain with the motorised device at all times. Guests requiring assistance can find a staff member at the information desk, located at the entrance of the PW1 building. 

WHEELCHAIRS

Wheelchairs will be available onsite for complimentary use at Tasmania’s Taste of Summer. Please visit the Information Desk upon arrival for further information. 

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Accessible parking is managed by Hobart City Council and will be available in the Murray Street car park and within Salamanca Place at the Abel Tasman car park.  

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Accessible seating is available at the Taste of Summer. There will be specific tables and chairs available throughout site to assist patrons with limited mobility and wheelchairs. Tables will be noted on site maps and clearly signed.

Guide Dogs and Service Animals

In accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, people with disability and their service animals that are trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of the individual with the disability are welcome at the Taste of Summer. Service animals must always remain on a lead, and we ask that you please clean-up after your Service Animals and dispose of waste in the appropriate bins located onsite. Dog water bowls will be located throughout the site to keep your dog hydrated. Please visit the Information Desk for the exact locations.

FIRST AID

In the event of a medical emergency during the event call 000. For minor medical attention, first aid providers are located near the exit of the site. 

PARENTING FACILITIES

A parenting room will be available on Salamanca Lawns near the kids area, and additional change tables will be available in the accessible toilets in PW1.

QUEUES

Occasionally during peak times queuing may be required at the Taste of Summer.  This could be for entry into the event or at our food and drink stalls. We are working through plans to assist with providing alternative queuing options for those patrons who may experience difficulties queuing, and will continue to update the website with further information.
